“You Feel”

French band Deleo will be releasing their newest single “You Feel” on November 4. This is the second single from the album The Best is Yet to Be, following “Satellite,” released in June. The album is set to be released January 27, 2023. Musicians Emilie Clément, Denis Navarro, and Felicien Bousquet further the story from “Satellite” in “You Feel,” tying the two singles together seamlessly.

This track kicks off with an alt/prog rock guitar line and bass opener. Quite like their first single, there is something about the way that Navarro and Bousquet play that feels both nostalgic and modern. They take motifs from the 1990’s but put a fresh twist on their delivery. The differentiator comes from their drum style. Throughout, the drums feel more like a pop or dance beat than a rock one, so it elevates what the instrumentalists are doing. Together, the background accompaniment swirl around the singing. Clément’s smooth and sultry vocals remain controlled as she tells her story. The lyrics paint a picture of a woman being consumed by her emotions as she attempts to process them. Clément is a highly skilled vocalist who knows exactly how to get the message across.
